Small region of the adult mesothoracic neuromere connecting the two giant fiber (DNp01) neurons across the midline, proximal to their lateral axonal bend (Allen et al., 1998). Several neurons that connect to the giant fiber neuron(s) via gap junctions do so in this region (Kennedy and Broadie, 2018).
