Vertical tract formed by neurons projecting dorsally into the neuropil of the ventral nerve cord or gnathal ganglion at a similar position to the anterior commissure on the anterior-posterior axis (Hartenstein et al., 2018). This is formed by lineages 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16 in the neuromeres in which they are present (Hartenstein et al., 2018).
