obsolete haltere nerve [FBbt_00047530]
Longitudinal tract found at a relatively dorsal level in the adult ventral nerve cord. It runs through the prothoracic and mesothoracic neuromeres. Some of its fibers cross the midline via the haltere chiasma, it also accepts fibers from the intermediate tract of dorsal cervical fascicle (which may also have passed through the haltere chiasma) (Power, 1948).
